Amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic Tri-pack Packaging Systems LTD has shown resilience and strength not only as a company but for a local community.

Tri-pack is based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire and proud of its local roots and heritage. Having served on the same site since 1974, Tri-pack is understandably a big player in the community. After continuous expansion over the years, the packaging giant has been a big employer for local people and boasts that nearly 30% of the workforce has been with Tri-pack continuously for over 30 years.

At a time of great distress and uncertainty, Tri-pack was able to continue operating its factory as a key worker, helping to provide packaging for food and pharmaceuticals.

In addition to this, they helped out the local council by donating packaging to assist with the distribution of emergency food boxes to the vulnerable in the community.

Tri-pack already operates its packaging facilities to a high standard of cleanliness. Operating as FSA approved for food-safe packaging, along with being ISO 14001 accredited, adapting to additional measures to help prevent to spread of coronavirus was a simple task. Taking into account the correct PPE, social distancing measures across to factory, offices and social areas such as kitchens. Tri-pack has been able to operate at a safe level for all employees, suppliers and distributors.
